Vigyan Jyot

MM Activ conceived of Vigyan Jyot on the lines of the Olympic flame. It is a movement dedicated to nurturing scientific temper in the society, especially the youth. The torch symbolising knowledge travelles across cities to culminate into a final apex event that aims at involving the common citizens across age groups, gender, geography and socio-economic class to inquire, explore and verify day to day living experiences against scientific logic.

Vigyan Jyot travels from Delhi to the venue of the Indian Science Congress by road on a float, spreading the importance of science amongst the youth en-route and remains lit throughout the event, inspiring lakhs of students visiting the Pride of India Expo, to take an oath to contribute to the cause of science. Vigyan Jyot is enthusiastically supported by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan & National Service Scheme (NSS) of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports throughout its journey which ensures participation of large number of youth from both the rural and urban areas.
