Indian Science Congress
Established in 1914 , Indian Science Congress Association is the
premier organization of India's scientific fraternity. Indian Science
Congress (ISC) is held every year with the objective of advancing,
promoting, and furthering the cause of Science in India. Such is
the importance of this event that since India's Independence every
year Prime Minister of India inaugurates this event . President
of India also address this gathering since last 3 years. The first
Prime Minister of India Pt Jawaharlal Nehru was himself the General
President during ISC1947. |

 Objectives
On the threshold of the new millennium the need was felt to transform Indian Science Congress into a platform that would inspire the practitioners of science to network and interact with Industry, academicians and society at large. This would pave the way for exchange of ideas, focused R&D, public private partnerships and development of Unified Indian Vision for future progress. |

Highlights
Under the leadership of Dr R A Mashelkar, General President of 87th ISC 2000 the congress was transformed into a major interactive platform and along with main Science congress concurrent activities like Exhibition , Industry symposium were planned. MM Activ played pivotal role in this transformation and built this event into Pride of India Science Expo along with many other exciting sub events. MM Activ has organized these events for 5 years since the beginning of new Millennium. |
