Highlights of the Expo
Bangalore Bio 2005 the flagship biotech event was inaugurated on the 22nd April 2005, at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore by the Chief Guest Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The event attracted Global participation of 15 countries and Exhibitors and 20,000 visitors to Trade Show.

The Event resulted in strategic tie-ups with Karnataka Government work to start on "Bangalore Helix" the Biotechnology Park

Highlights of the Conference
International Conference attracted 75 International & National Speakers 400 Delegates attended the Conference. The Conference was inaugurated by renowned Nobel Laureate Dr. Sydney Brenner. Dr. George Atkinson, Science & Technology Advisor to the Secretary of State, U.S. was the distinguished Guest of Honour.

Round Table
The Round Table comprising a distinguished panel of participants from Government, Industry, Research and Finance discussed and deliberated on the Draft Policy "National Biotechnology Development Strategy" . The Event was Moderated by Dr. M. K. Bhan, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India who gave the Opening Remarks and conducted the proceedings with Dr. Bala S. Manian, CEO, ReaMetrix as the Co-Moderator.

CEO Conclave
The CEO Conclave brought together distinguished personalities coming from diverse backgrounds, forming the Who's Who of the Biotech community. Sri. Jairam Ramesh, Member of Parliament and Member, National Advisory Council delivered the Vision Talk on the theme "India in the Glocal Economy".

Awards Nite
The Gala Awards Nite hosted to recognize and honour the Padma Awardees in the field of Science & Technology felicitated Dr. M S Valiathan, Prof. V S Ramamurthy, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Dr. N. Seshagiri, Dr. N. Seshagiri, Dr. M. Mahadevappa, Prof. (Dr) B. Dattaguru and Mr. K C Reddy . at the hands of Sri. P.G. R. Sindhia, Hon'ble Minister for Large, Medium, Small Scale Industries and Infrastructure Development, Govt. of Karnataka.
