The Bee industry globally is developing at a phenomenal pace. It offers tremendous opportunities to India. The Bee keeping industry has a special significance in India. it provides means of livelihood to vast number of rural and tribal population. The wide variety of bees, offers excellent opportunity to develop India as a major sourcing centre.

Highlights
The event was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Sangh Priya Gautam, Hon'ble Minister of State for Agro & Rural Industries, Govt. of India.
The bee2bee International Beekeeping Workshop & Apiexpo aimed at preparing a comprehensive Bee Vision Document for the future growth and development of Beekeeping in India.
The Workshop & Apiexpo covered varied technical programmes such as Plenary Talks, Panel Discussions and Public. More than 250 Delegates participated in this twin event.

Highlights of the Expo
In the exhibition more than 30 participants displayed various types of honey, honey products, beekeeping equipment, etc. 'Bunny Bee' the mascot was released. Participation came from all those involved in the Api culture: Researchers, NGOs, Bee Scientists, Bee Equipment Manufacturers, Extension Workers -Traders, Beekeepers, Exporters, Honey Hunters, Consumers of honey & its Project Workers from India & overseas.
